Hi i bought an xr3i with an 86 RST engine. Problem is that when the engine is cold i need to rev to about 2-3000rpm to keep te engine from cutting. When the engine is warm i kan keep it in idle without having to rev the engine. Anyone got any idea what might be acting up??
yeah just unplug it while the engine is running an see if it runs better but to be honest i would be more inclined to think it was the 5th injector (cold start)
I had the same problem its the cold start if you ask me. i dont think that having to give it a little rev in the morning should effect the car in anyway so prob wouldnt get over worried about it.
Yeah i'll give it a go. Its just an annoying thing, the main problem with the car is the wiring inside so. Cant find a wiring diagram anywhere for an xr3i
