exhaust manifold suggestions
i need to sort out an exhaust manifold for my zvh but there are a few space issues due to it being in a ka, i cant use a jamsport 1 without cutting the middle of the front panel out, and i cant use 1 that positions it over the gearbox due to the width of the engine bay and space down the back of the bulkhead to run the downpipe. what other options are there?
what sort of power is a standard exhaust manifold good for? engine spec is as follows....
its running a 7.9:1 cr
stage 3 burton power big valve head
kent cvh 35 cam kit
kent vernier pulley
uprated valve springs
silver top 2.0 zetec bottom end, bored out to 2.1
Je pistons
farndon h section rods
arp rod bolts used throughout engine
heavy duty bearings throughout
toal seal piston rings
focus rs head gasket (cvh head modifed for this to fit)
custom inlet plenum
high pressure oil pump
oil spray jets
fully lightened and balanced bottom end
area six spec'd helix 4 paddle clutch
t34 turbo
803 green injectors
gotech mfi v5 pro managment running a coilpack
3" exhaust from the turbo back
for ease of fitting a standard exhaust manifold would be best, but what are the chances of it restricting it too much? some pics to show the lack of space, ignore the massive turbo on it in some of the pics, just tried that on for a laugh lol.
as you can see in the last 2 pics the engine sits right behind the front panel so to run a jamsport 1 i would have to cut the middle of the front panel out which i didnt want to to ideally.
i'v seen that auto specialists do 1 which looks like a standard manifold, but is this just a standard manifold in stainless or is it any different?

if it was just the width issue that could be sorted by shortening the branch's slightly, but theres next to no room at all down the back, certainly doesnt look enough to run a 3" downpipe.
keeping a standard manifold or using an autospecialists 1 would by far be the easiest but i dont want the manifold being restrictive, but if there getting 360bhp on a standard manifold then i shouldnt have a problem.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
that box in the car at the moment has got front and rear starter housings, its an ib5 box from a ka which normaly has the starter on the back, but it was previously run on a cvh and to run them with a cvh you have to have a starter housing welded onto the front too so that box has got both.

plus if you fit some bigger injectors with your engine spec you will make more power them greens are only good for about 280hp

what injectors would be advisable?

they didnt come from ford like it, someone welded it, its the easiest option when sticking a cvh in a ka as you can still use an ib5 box which is a bit stronger than a bc box, same mounts, shaft's etc and just stick an rst lsd in it.
