Been working on my cars for years, i dont trust anyone else like many others that have used jamsport.

Cant reccomend them enough, take a look at stu collins's S2 for an idea to!.

Regards

id go to PJ Motorsport personally, being as they use a hub dyno, which is way more accurate than rollers, and the guys are very helpful. no offence to jamie..

a friend of mine had a mk5 escort rs2000 turbo converted by them, which set him back a good few grand! and from what i could gather, all that money spent basically paid to have an escort turbo exhaust manifold welded onto the rs2000 manifold flange!
the car ran awful and sounded like a piece of shit despite having a dump valve! i could have done a better job myself if only i had the time and a welder....

I think more or less every garage is like that even the dealerships you can never 100% trust any one weather they are telling the truth or not about any thing as it’s all about making money these days.

i had my gotech fitted there and the wiring was appauling, they wired the fuel pump straight to the ignition,i did expect a relay to be fitted, and when it came to map the car, apparently the actuator and fuel pump was fucked, but i couldnt work that out cos they were brand new???

bit long but..

my car was breathing quite heavily through the oil filler cap (popping it off) and the water would rise in the header tank if you held the revs up. so i changed the head gasket, new thermostat, new oil and coolant, new breather, cleared all pipes/rad etc. and still had the problem.
told them the issue and took it down. i told them i thought its the piston rings, and if needs must, id get them to fit a new cvh bottom end.

a week and a half went by then i got a call..

jamie fobbed me off with trying to tell me that i had only done my head bolts up finger tight and thats why there was the breathing issue.. the issue was there before i changed gasket, and i torqued the bolts up to the correct amount with a brand new torque wrench anyway. he then told me that i shouldnt trust a halfords torque wrench and thats where i went wrong! so i thought fuck it as long as its running fine i dont care.

when i collected i was charged Ł550 for 3 hours diagnostic time, new oil, new coolant (coolant was brown same as when i dropped it off), new thermostat (i rounded off one of the bolts on the thermo housing the week before and would have needed drilling out but that bolt was still there untouched), they said my fuel pump wiring was shot, so they replaced it with a second hand plug and wire that had exposed wires on! i told them clearly when dropping the car off that i had already done these bits the week before so wont need doing again.

i went to get in my car and my flocked door pockets were covered in deep scratches and mud from them getting in and out, my gear knob insert was cracked and on the floor. carpet covered in mud.
then i checked the engine, still breathing heavy and water rising, so went and got jamie over to ask him why.. to which he replied, all fiesta cvh's breath heavy like that and rise water in header thank, dont worry bout it. main thing is we changed your head gasket!

was bout 4 years ago so was 20 at the time and my last rst was mfi and i didnt know much bout efi back then, so like a trustworthy mug i kinda bought what he said and dying to drive my fezzy i fucked off. then 3 weeks later my oil rings let go

might not sound like a major pants pulling down.. but end of the day all they did was what i did already the week before, fob me off with some shit, then take my Ł550.

I had a problem with my ESCORT RS (wouldn,t start).I pm,d jamsport and spoke to jamie on the phone,he gave me a fews pointers of what to try.I still couldn,t get it started so rang him back."Get it to me and i,ll get it started for ya" he said.So i borrowed a truck and got it to him.He changed the plugs fiddled with it for about 15 minutes and got it started for me then tuned + timed it up so it started first time ,everytime. How much do you thing jamie charged me for his time, expertease and parts??????????

Absolutly f**k all,for someone that he only met 15 minutes earlier say alot about the type of bloke jamie is.I took it back again 6 months later for rollingroad and he transformed the car.
JAMSPORT gets my vote.

What you've said here is pretty much what happened when i took an rst down to him that i built a zvh for, it got strapped to the rollers then he was just wondering about like he was just trying to kill time, basically adjusted the actuator pre load and then advanced the dizzy, i could of done this on the road but i was just worried about fueling, so yeah i see where your coming from. In the future if i do anymore i shall set them up on the road and just book them in for a quick dyno run for Ł30 or whatever it is now just to check fueling rather than a Ł150 hours run.

Jamie built an Rs turbo that i had about 6 years ago, 2.1 ZVH, cossy management, ect ect... running about 280BHP running lowish boost, and made a nice job of it, so i would say he's decent at what he does, although a lot of people i know have used Karl Norris (NMS) and although i have not used him YET everyone i know would recomend Karl!

As much as I hate Jam Sport, I'll agree with that. Im sure this post could be about any company and still have a mixed response.

saying that though i now take my car to brody britain racing (morego bbr) and i dont think theres many companies that have been doing fast fords as long as they have with such good feedback
