ive just rebuilt my engine and everytime it ticks over i get a lil bit of black smoke and wen i rev it it gives out a huge puff of black smoke!

could this be overfuelling ???

 

black smoke is a sine of over fueling

 

good just got me a bit worried is der any thing else it could be wt do the colours of the smoke indicate?

 

As said..
Black is Fuel, overfuelling.
White is Water, head gasket.
Blue is Oil, piston rings, stem seals, or turbo.

 

yes , too much fuel ,check the fuel pressure regulator and the vacumm link .

my s2 had all of the above colours coming out of the exhaust at some point or another

doesnt sound good

 

so you should be worried, too much fueling will start causing bore wash! then thin the oil then as its a fresh build it will ruin the rebuild due to the oil not be able to absorb all the filings!
this is the extremist of cases but does happen!

 

oh rite ive done 270 miles with it like this mite be too late

 

Get the oil changed sharpish and the fuelling checked/adjusted i'd say....
