boot lock
How do you mean yours is knackered?
will it not push in? they get clogged with alot of dirt, well mine did and i thought it was worn and wouldn't catch on. but i sprayed WD40 in it and left it 20 mins then spent another 20 pressing it in and out like a special needs case and got it working like new again.
It Might help and you get to keep your lockset with only one key

thats what mine was doing. You could turn the key left or right but you couldn't push the button. it was like it was always locked. i hit it with my fist a few times first (you know what i mean) to loosen it i suppose, and after about 15- 20 mins of constantly pushing it, wiping it with rag when dirt came out and putting more WD40 on, it worked better than it ever did before.
maybe yours is broken, but i doubt it.
