how do you adjust idle ?

cars only adleing at 500 just about running !!!!!!!

if the car is mfi i wouldn't go straight for the idle screw, you might have an airleak.

is that the liitle screw to the left of the throtlle body with a 8mm nut on it

Idle screw is the round headed screw on a spring under the throttle body. As said tho, check other things first before messing with that otherwise you could mess up the balance and make things worse!

Christ... Now ya asking!

Main ones would be the simple ones first: Oil Filler Cap, Dipstick, Dump Valve, Breather System, Boost hose clips, any signs or wear/tear on any pipe etc etc etc

If only it was the same with RS's as it was with ya push bike as a kid.

Seriously tho, how long has this been like this? Has the car been sat for ages? Have you been driving it like this for a while? Have you recently changed anything engine wise?
A little more info could help...
