Metering Unit Rebuild Kit - Still Available?
Im planning on having my metering unit ripped apart and rebuilt in the near future and Im sure ages ago i saw a rebuild kit for sale, ie gaskets and whatnot.... but now i cant find them anywhere!
Does anyone know where i can get one?

I need a rebuild too, but dont know of anyone hope someone on here does.
Bit of a nighmare as i dont have the money to change to efi at the moment by the time you change all the parttsa to efi might as well go cossie/gotech at the same time

A guy 5 minutes up the road is doing it for me 
I even mentioned the rebuild kit to him and he looked at me like Im a plank lol I swear Ive seen them tho....

Yeah there was one on ebay a while back, only one i've ever seen though.
TBH i'm sure it was just gaskets, seals, copper washers etc.. dont think it was actually any of the moving parts so could probably source most of it elsewhere, get the appropriate gasket paper and a scalpel and away you go!

Just spoke to the guy again. Its booked in for next wednesday... and still he doesnt know anything about a rebuild kit available. Im just not having a good day today

Some pics of my recently refurbed metering head...........
I did it myself..... disassembled, cleaned-degreased and painted...........with new metering head gasket, new black brackets, nuts & bolts and brand new Banjoo bolts and copper washers for injector hoses.
I only need brand new braided hoses for metering head and will be ready to fit.

cheers mate, you're a diamond! Are there any other things I need or is the gasket sufficient? All my banjos and banjo washers are new, but do I need to replace anything else inside?

I can't see that just replacing washers/banjo bolts and painting it, whilst it may look good will actually do anything to remedy any problems with the metering unit. Unless you're just cleaning it to have it looking mint?

No, I'm having mine looked at cos it's causing problems. I'm looking for the parts so it can be put back together correctly. I mentioned the washers and banjos so Anvini didn't have to dig out the finis codes for them.

if i had worries of it not functioning correctly, id be simply looking for a replacement that did work, as the replacements parts that actually do anything of merit cost a bomb new, if even still available!

I spoke with the guy doing mine and he said that there isnt much to change in them... but the gaskets can leak/split. He said the components inside can just be tightened/reset/realigned etc.

Hi
Done for good looking because was full of grease (old oil burned and stucked inside walls and moving parts of the metering head) and some rusty parts.
I think full mechanical refurb of metering head is very difficult due unavailable parts and not easy set up of them.

I'll see what state mines in next week. The guys gonna do the best he can with it anyway. Mine works, just not very well with start up due the flap mechanism or something? Also mines missing the blanking plug, but ain't that a simple case of adding a M6 bolt or something?

Is it a M6 bolt thats used to block the mixture screw off? I just wanna have everything i can think off in one place to help make the guys life a little easier. Cheers

What we need is someone to stip one down take some nice piccy's and post them up so we can all get a better understanding of how they work!
I have the top part of the metering unit in my garage, might strip that down later but I have a alloy clutch quadrant to fit first.

Hoping for a quick response here guys....
If a fueling meter allows fuel to come out of the boost hose (lower) is there an easy cure, like possibly just changing the gasket between the top fuel part (with lines attached) to the top of the metering unit?
Or is this something alittle more a case of just binning it and getting another one?

I have looked through the haynes manual because all i can think that'll let fuel thru it is the fuel distributor is leaking thru its seal... heres the bit from haynes
It has to be the O-Ring thats causing this issue, surely?? Anyone have a finis code, or know what can be used?

By the looks of it, theres no o-ring between the fuel distributor and the bottom part, although its not a whole unit that this diagram makes out!

Every Rs turbo I have had runing KE has always coughed and spluttered on start up after a longer than expected turn over period!
