If the is hot it just wont start period, pulled off a3 today and stalled the car in rush hour... wasn't fun.

The mixture is deff wrong lol but fixing it/identifying the problem is going to be a pain.

Any one know of any companys who refurb the units?

Cheers

Mate did you not read my last post? lol It is probably not the metering unit!!!
Why dont you just try leaning/richening the idle mixture and seeing if it makes it any better?
Refurbing/replacing the metering unit is the most expensive route to go and then you would still have to set the idle mixture anyway! lol

My bad Karlos! Sorry i was tired...

I agree, and will give that a go this evening lol Just got a quote for a refurb unit at Ł440

Should i be able to strongly smell fuel if i open the metering unit? with engine and pump off?

Also should a perfect RST start on the button with no throttle?

(last one) any one know of a good firm who could set up my car around SE London?

Cheers again

Think these links may be useful to people.... especially the PDF as it has a fault finding table...
