Can anyone help, have just bought my third Series 2 (looks to be the best one so far...) Its a 1990 H plate, completely standard (exhaust, stereo, mats, extra recaro lumbar supports etc!) came with a massive amount of service history reciepts all in a binder, original bookpack and original rac membership pack from time of purchase. Amongst the reciepts which are about 80% ford main dealer are loads from 2007/8, the previous owner has obviously spent a lot of money in the last year or so, including a bit of an engine rebuild with new standard cam, lifters etc. problem is most of the reciepts mean nothing as they are just part numbers????? id like to try and find out what they all are so i know whats been done and dont waste money doing it all again! any assistance would be great, sorry if i have posted this in the wrong place im new to this!

i no that car the guy used to work in witham used to have a stainless up until recently.is a very nice car.

 

makes sense as there are loads of reciepts from witham too, had a feeling it had an exhaust change recently as there is a small rattle to the standard one. Will be adding a full stainless myself in a week or 2, thanks it is nice, not doin much to it at mo just want to use it for summer, then will be coming off the road for a possible respray to rectify 19 years worth of stone chips and a feint (but long) scratch where some c*nt keyed it. (before i bought it) has a couple of black samco hoses which i may complete the full set of as they look really smart and almost factory.

 

Is this the one with 28,000 miles on?

 

I wish!!! It would be locked in a car bubble with large dogs guarding it if it was...... Haha. No its done 120k with predominantly ford service history and all mots, 4 previous owners. Not saying its perfect but its a million times better than my last 2.

 

i drove past it every day my buisness is just up the way from his work always looked sweet.

 

Thanks mate thats nice to hear, when i have finally had the time to finish cleaning it properly i will drag the camera out and get some proper pictures on here. only ones i have are from my phone at mo.
