fuel pump relay wired in? it sounds likes it running of the prime then no signal to kick the pump in! listen under the car whilst it runs see if pump is buzzing?

do you mean under ignition or cranking?

ignition primes the pump for hgalf a second or so, once the car fires the pump should run constantly, mine did this when i first did my EFI until i ran the wire into the relay. Same as yours ran a few seconds then died

Put power directly to the pump from another battery while cranking and see if it runs then.
