Had my Airtec turbo cooler fitted at Jamsport a few months ago works a treat and had no problems with it so far I think it took them no more than 30mins to fit here's a quick picture of what it looks like once fitted to give you an idea.

I've been thinking about fitting one of these. Well, i had forgotten about it till seeing this thread!
Do they really have a purpose, I mean REALLY have a purpose or is it just one of those things that look real nice, just not entirely essential?

And all for 70 notes.... Might get one after all then.
Considering where its positioned tho, doesnt it affect the amount of air being directed into the air filter (if set up that way)?

I know what you’re saying but I also had my front mount intercooler fitted at the same along with the turbo cooler plus at least I have the piece of mind that the professionals are fitting it.

I saw, ages ago in FF mag, what looked to be a turbo cooler mounted on the inner wing, where the fuel filter is normally located. The cooler had two small fans on it. Looked much better like that, and you actually got to see it! Having it tucked away where it is in these pics, i cant see it getting the right air supply it needs
Can't remember what issue, but it was a white series 2 with an extra intake cut out of the numberplate recess.

HID kits are available from loads of places. Not cheap tho, unless you get them from Japan/china etc on ebay. Some also say that because RST headlights arent the projector type, its actually looked at as illegal and will fail the MOT!

The UK is getting stricter on our MOT laws! Think I might move closer to you lol
Question for Mr Joe, why is nearly every thread you start about things to help your car run cooler? Is it overheating a lot? Or is it that you just want a cool engine?
If it is overheating a lot of the time, I'd drain out the coolant, flush the system and top up with fresh coolant. You might have a blockage of air trapped in the coolant system which is allowing this to happen. If that doesnt cure it, i'd go get it checked out before plumming loads of money into bolt ons!
