Default rs turbo cills

whats the best way to go about changeing series 1 inner and outer cills and maybe a rear floor pan

if ya handy with a welder then it aint to much,but if ya aint confident,dont try it!

I can give you the number of a wicked welder just outside blackpool, Pm me if ur intrested, he's done a few series 1's he's done his 2 mk1 escorts, He cut sections outta another door and welded them into mine to get rid of some corrosion on the frame, even the body lad I use was amazed how good the work was

just make sure you cut all the rot out! you cant weld rust!

u cant weld it, but u can cover it with seam sealer

scott is a mint welder did the front end everythin from the door jambs forward inner arches the lot and to look at it when he finished you would have though it was original

works out neatest replacing inner and outer sills, plus floorpans, all at same time, as it means u have all new metal to spot/plug weld, keeps it all nice and neat when viewed from below

just beware that the best reproduction inner sills to get are the 1s with a captive nut already in place for the seat belt mounts, as some just have a predrilled hole and require u to retain part of the old sill, and the nothing ever lines up! oh and rear floorpans take a fair bit of persuading into shape/position as reproduction 1s must have been pressed by stevie wonder, miles out!
