Default water in footwell

ok, so not an erst, but a xr3i cab with rst engine in it.
front footwell is saturated with water, the misses didn't notice, but i did as soon as i got in after not driving it for a while.
now, i've re-sealed the fuse box, so i know water isn't getting in there.
i suspect a door seal on the drivers side as the rear footwell is a little damp too.

what i want to know is, is there any other common places where water/rain can get into the cabin?

cheers
sean

As you said door seals, also check the window seals and pull up the carpet.. might be a hole in the floor plan/sills.

key word......"cab"

lol my cabby seems to let water in whenever it wants ??!? hasnt done it for a good while now but think it also depends how you park, ie pointing uphill or down, slight sideways that kinda thing.

one point to make it is deffo rain water and not heater matrix? checked your coolant level lately?

Get the carpet up, dry the floor and get someone to run water over the car, see where its coming from.
My bet would be a bad fitting hood, the hood frames twist slightly over the years and may not seal against the top of the door well.

I'd also check the rear light gaskets. Water gets in thru them, follows the lines of the boot floor, down the rear seat section and into the front footwell there. I had it happen to mine.

i actually changed the hood from a white on to a black one and the hood sits snug on the windows.
the boot does get a little damp too, good call, i'll be whipping them lights out and re-sealing them very soon too.

cheers
