it is but its easier to do on a mk3 escort, on the mk4 you need to space the subframe with washers alittle and modify the drivers suspension turret to get clearence, the one ive seen was tapped with a hammer,

thatl be me then lol
yeah i cut the whole mounting plate off and then made one up to suit using the original rs2k mount as my cvh one cracked when i was only using the zetec, i also did it so that i could lower the engine so not to cut a hole in the bonnet, so the gearbox and engine are about 10-20mm lower but ive got an rst bonnet with the vent covers so one cover has rubbed a tiny tiny bit on chaincover but will be fine if you dont use a plate.
its not an easy fit, only have space for my pinky finger between the lower pulley and inner wing so its a up from underneath job i felt but id use a ramp if you can as it makes life so much easier as i had to dummy fit it several time to get it right.

ive just bought a 2.3 though with the intention of building a 2.3 hybrid using the rs parts but have decided to turbo it instead to do something different.
drop me a pm if you got any more questions fella. do check out koska's pics though as they are quite good, ive got a load of it going in but dont know how to make my album open for anyone to see im afriad.

interesting conversion for sure, but is too heavy and costs far too much to tune an get very little power from, just use a cvh or zetec far cheaper much lighter and more power

tight as a nun who cares about weight, tuning, its just a little different from the norm, and 150 bhp in a stripped out mk1 fez, i think it will be quick enuff

2.3 hybrid is a cheap conversion if everything is setup to use the rs2k lump. will give loads of torque and around the 170-180 figure running on the OE system. for best results something like a unichip should be used
