I'd far prefer a standard grey one, and as said can get them from any breakers yard.

Im sure he never posted that in a way to offend you.

Plain to see tho that half these guys spend thousands of hard earned pounds on parts and that they would have a little laugh at someone saying £30 is expensive for a part.

Pinch of salt mate

As for the clear cam cover. I got one last week and fitted it. Its different, and a lot cheaper than the chrome additions, and a lot cleaner than the old tatty orginal (although it does use the original rubber seal off ya old one). The fitting of the bolts is a bit of a pain in the ass as the wing and coolant hose get in the way and ya cant see where ya meant to be screwing it in! Just like Stevie Wonder on a piano I suppose...just feel for it.

Clear is the way forward if ya have a nice coloured pulley and decent looking cambelt... otherwise all ya gonna do is show the world a rusty old original and a faded belt face

Choice is yours matey. But i have no quarms with the clear

It will still fit yea. I suppose the original seal is just to help further prevent crap from getting in, thats all. I have seen them without.

Heres mine fitted:

Excuse the unpolished chrome, its winter lol
