Default few problems with my new rst

hi guys im new here and about 2 months ago i purchased my dream car erst.
88 spec
full magnex exhaust
baileys dump valve
pipercross filter
rebuild 26000 ago

i wouldnt no how to tell if the boost has been touch since ive never owned a turbo'd car before. i love the car atm lol but ive got a few things im concernd about and i wondered if you can help
  • first the car struggles to start when cold and have to pump the pedal but its fine when its warm
  • somtimes the car idles at 2000rpm then goes down to normal 10 mins or so
  • the other day i was driving around and still after about half hour the temprature guage was still at the bottom shouldnt it be sitting about half way on normal ?
  • the main problem was on top end i go into 5th and after about 70ish you hear the turbo spool up and the dump valve starting to woosh abit then it sort of shudders and wont go any further and slows down
im hoping these are just silly things and me being an idiot lol but like i said i havent owned a turbo before so i wouldnt know.im servicing the car this weekend maybe this problems are somthing to not being serviced for a while or maybe it needs setting up.

any help would be really appreciated thanks

does sound like a good set up is what you need mate, then you know everything is spot on - could be fuelling or timing or that so better get the experts to diagnose?

Is your temp guage moving at all? Sender or guage could be faulty but both easy to change

oh and get some pics up

Think you're looking around £140 for a setup on the rollers mate give or take.

I was there with mine the other day they did a brilliant job and totally changed the way mine ran. So much better!! They spent about an hour and a half on it and adjusted everything as it was all way out and it cost me £105. Really nice guys 2 so helpfull.
