Default Starting problem

Hi can anyone help ,i have a s2 rs turbo and i have a problem gtting it to start once it has been running for a while.it is like it has a flat battery but if i leave it to cool down it starts up no problem.

as far as i no mate its the starter motor gets to hot as its located next to the down pipe. i think this i a general fault with this

Thanks mate do you know if there is any type of heat sheild i can get to solve this ?

Had the same prob with my old RS. Pull the motor out (5min job) and strip it down, clean it up including the brushes and whack it back together. Or buy a new one from a motorfactors. I think that there is meant to be a heatsheild but they tend to fall apart/ get removed.
You could always get exhaust tape and wrap the downpipe, that should help a bit.

had same prob replaced starter and solenoid lagged exhaust and starter and got new batt
been told now that the cold start valve sticks open and floods the engine
apparantely you take it off and clean with de-coke spray
