Default petrol tanks

i found out yesterday that i have hit my petrol tank underneath on a speed hump or something

my car is a series 2 rs turbo but what i want to know is are all the mk4 escort petrol tanks the same?

not normal MK4's i dont think, the rst tanks have a swirl pot built into them.

I'm 95% sure thats correct but, but if some1 else can confirm....

I think Scabroilet man is right, cant you get one from an MK5 EFI and modify the pick-up?

The MK4 XR3i tanks are the same as the RS ones as they have the swirl pot built into them.

They're only £40ish new.

theres a company in cornwall that makes replacement ones,,bout 80quid,,,ford told me they could get one ,as there are no more originals in stock

looked into this a bit more

ford charge £140.32 plus vat

the bigger size one is for the s2 i believe,,,maybe the custom????
