Question Cvh head diffrences

I remember hearing while back that one type of cvh head is better for modifying due to its thicker wall thickness between the port and the water ways.

Does anyone know if thats true? and if so which ones?.

I know there must be diffrent types as i have seen some heads with a cross hatching around the edges.

I did a full race head for a mate of mine using the EFI head (on a 1.6CVH), welded up the injection cut-outs as it was running a carb and the head made some seriously good figures, 146@BHP the wheels running a 34DMTR! The point is, the head allowed for serious removal of material allowing lots of airflow.
