I did this very same conversion about 4 weeks ago but you must take note of these!

The 2wd disc needs to be turned down on the diameter (5mm) otherwise it will catch the carrier, 2wd drive discs are 283mm, the 4wd discs are smaller @ 278mm.

You also need to space out the carrier from the hub (2mm) otherwise the outer braking face of the disc will foul the carrier also!

They work a f**king treat! You can use early mondeo V6 calipers but they MUST have 887 & 888 stamped on them as they are not all the same!

There are 2 types of 4x4 caliper. The M10-bolt ones would require machining of the disc (or caliper body) to allow clearance. However, these will bolt straight onto the knuckle with no problems.

The M12-bolt ones will be a direct fit onto the discs, but will require the knuckle holes being drilled out accordingly.

This is why some people have no problems and others have clearance issues. It is not so much a problem with the caliper as much as the caliper mounting bracket (the big metal frame the caliper sits in) although the 2 have to be matched.

The 2wd Cossie discs will go straight on though.

The calipers that i used were of the M12 variety but still needed the discs machining/caliper spacing but they were from the Mondeo which might account for something!
