I'd cut out the middle-man with the Felpro and put it straight in the bin now.

Yes i wasted money on a Felpro too!
The diameter of the gasket where is seals arround the fire ring is too big and leaves some of your head and block exposed!
Look what happend to mine!

If you place a Felpro gasket over a standard Ford or Payen gasket you will see the difference!!

Those felpro gaskets are for the 1.9 cvh or can be used on the 2.0l zvh because of the bore diameter. would never use them on a 1.6 , i take it lots of other people have

Yes mate we have!!! As you can see above i foudn out the hard way that they are for the american 1.9 CVH!
They shouldnt be sold as 1.6 Rs Turbo head gaskets really cos it catches people out and they dont fit properly!

When Stuart stated above that the OEM Ford gasket is good for 350bhp, since its what both he and I have run to that power, why fit anything else??

....and if you'd have gone for Payen, you'd have got EXACTLY the same gasket (without the Ford logo) and bolts and had roughly £35 extra in your pocket!!
