Default Engine cutting out.

I have a s2 RST and have a slightly annoying fault. when the car is at normal temprature, and i start to accelerate, say from a junction when i lift off the throttle and press the clutch in the revs waver between 850 to 1000 rpm and then cuts out. It also does it on over run when approaching a stop. Does any one have an idea.

That shouldnt make a difference if its a sealed dump vavle?

I had the same problem on my cvh 1.4 before i had the turbo lump, you find yourself coming upto lights, pressing both the brake and the eccelerate together, cuz if you do this, it dont cut out .. am i right?

check the spring hasn,t snapped at the top of the valve, this happened to me mates, what happened was the spring snapped and got stuck between the piston and the casing causing an air leak, check for air leaks elsewhere also

When i rebuilt my engine my car was doing the same, turned out to be the fuel mixture (too weak/lean). Adjusted the mixture now its fine.
