When my car is boosting up with the actuator set as standard, the car seems to still boost up to about 10psi before the ECU comes in and kills the engine. What could be wrong. Is my actuator cream crackered?

Any help / advice would be appreciated.

Sound like its overboosting and ecu is cutting it out as it may not be chiped.
might be wrong though

 

yeah its overboosting mate.....theres no such thing as an actuator set "as standard".
its set to what its set.........turn it down!

 

The thing is I've turned it down and its still boosting at the same level. The only difference is, the car pops and farts a little bit when its on boost.

 

How do you turn it up, cuz i cant get mine over 6 psi? Sorted all air leaks out!

 

take your car/cars to a tuner and get the pros to have a look!

 

yeah take it to a tuner and for under £100 they will have it flying!!

 

Sorted it. Now boosting up to 10psi and stays there. It was the amal valve that was cream crackered.
