I bought my brand new car end of 2006. Mk6 Fiesta ST. Parked it up put it in reverse and heard CRUNCH. I thought oh fuck then I remembered what I read on Fiesta Forums about the lack of synchro for reverse. Twatting piece of shit car!!

Your lucky, sometimes it takes me several attempts, engaging dis-engaging the clutch just to get it in reverse. Reverse lights flashing like a 60 year old man at a bowls competition. It's ridiculous!

like all of you guys my revers also crunched every time,
regardless - i had a problem with my idle rev's, after some work on the throttle and idle valve my idle went from 1200 to around 750-800...
and magically the crunches disappeared.
alto my rev's are now back to 1200 due to some vacuum issues and the crunches are back...
can i get a second opinion on this...

The reason it dont crunch when it idles realy low is cos the engine is turning very slow. I'E
If you hold you foot on the throttle and hold it at 3-4k revs then most cars will gring as you put in reverse .
If you put a car in reverse when the engine is almost dying then it wont crunch .
Its all to do with the syncro .
Try turning the tv over while wanking as fast as you can, then try while doing it slowly.
