Unhappy Looking for CVH quality lifters...

As above for a XR3i CVH hydraulic.

I bought a set a year on ebay, already knackered...

ford still do them. damn pricey though but in my opinion it's false economy to fit anything other than genuine ford hydraulic lifters. they really are so much better than any other type.

did you fit a brand new cam with them? if not then thats probably why they are knackered!

....and if you did fit a new cam and have ruined a set of lifters, the cams probably fucked too now.

I've fit a new cam with new followers 9'000miles ago... the cam still has a thin layer of the original black coating (=still new...)

And it managed to make a hole in one of the lifters!

At ford they are way to expensive, what do think of this?

9000 miles?? I've seen these fail in 500 miles. Also, the black coating on the casting isn't relevant, it isn't on the lobes and thats what we are concerned with.

Trust me, if you fit new lifters on this 'old' cam, you run the risk of it happening again.

Infact, there's no guarantee that it won't happen again whatever you do.
