s2 fuel gauge

hi there, my fuel gauge has decided to give up on me and sits right at the bottom??
any ideas what this would be?
or how hard it is to get the sender out (not fuel tank out is it?????)

You will have to drop your tank down and take the sender out mate

shouldnt i be able to bridge the wires somewhere and the gauge goes up ect ... just so i know its not the clocks?

its a pretty easy job to drop the tank,the wires go under ur rear seat and go thru a grommet in the middle,
