I doubt you'll be able to run much more than 1.1 bar before it either dets or runs out of fuel.. Either way, you should get it professionally setup.

The biggest limitation is the fact that a RS Turbo can not accurately fuel very high boost, this is why people run fifth injectors and after market management systems

i was always led to believe that 18psi is the limit before you need 5th injector etc.

on that spec mate it will mainly depend on how your metering head is performing, but I would guess from between 14 - 18 psi is reasonable giving around the 200bhp at 18psi. But as the other threads state fueling is the key. Speak to Paul at pj motorsport or jamie at jamsport, they know these inside and out

how do you work out the exact amount of fuel matched to boost pressure when setting up an engine ?
what is adjusted exactly ?
cheers

needs to be done on the RR mate, the equipment needed to do it yourself is very expensive, and requires some experience to get just right!

going to book the car in for a set up, but wanted to do my homework first.
so many people have different boost bhp ratio's, will the tuner just set my car up to the highest boost he thinks my engine can take ????

He'll set it to what you ask him to so long as he thinks your car will be ok with it.
All the differnt boost/bhp ratio's depend heavily on engine condition and mods, for example a 20k engine will make better power at 1bar than a 120k engine at the same boost because of lost compression (bore/ring wear), valves not openeing fully (worn cam lobes and lifters), etc...etc
Mods speak for themselves..... better Cam, FMIC, SS Exhaust, Air Filter, Chipped ECU, Higher Boost, all will add to perfomance if set up right!

With your mods "grs front mount, hybrid, -31, msd chip, kent cam, scorpion" if there is not too much engine wear I would go for around 15/16 psi and expect anything from 190hp - 210hp, again it really depends on the condition of the engine itsef, also your MFI so cant really fuel for more than 16/17 psi and even that varyies greatly from metering unit to metering unit!

using an af guage and probe and an egt , and a long stretch of open road , can be done. I run up to an indicated 1.7 bar (25 psi) with a t34 , 500cc injectors and a 7:1 cr , recently made 153kw atw at a dyno day , poor Focus ST owners were barely touching 160kw , and with a wet wieght with me in it of 1 ton , should be fun
dont however attempt this if you dont know what youre doing , ive destroyed two turbo cvh motors and two na motors on my way to learning in the last 15 years
hoping to see 180kw atw when fully set up at Gotech
