Default Overboosting!!!!

My car has started boosting up to about 20psi even though the actuator is set at around 10psi!!
If the Amal valve fails can it bleed off more pressure to the metering head than it should? (Bit like a bleed valve) and cause this to happen?
Obviously i'm not driving it until its fixed!!

Also thinking either the pipe from the turbo to the Amal, or from the Amal to the Actuator is split/leaking!
Anyone know what size these pipes are so I can get some nice red silicone to replace them with?

Cheers!

isnt there some sort of boost restictor in the ECU that can fail and cause it to boost higher? or appear to boost higher??

make sure the pipe going to the ecu is on and not split and perrished. This will cause you to run big boost if broken

Actuator pipe popped off?

Split diaphram in the actuator??

Unlikely to be the pipe to the ECU, they run flat as a pancake if they split normally.

ok so more likely to be a pipe issue rather than the Amal at fault, Actuator is new (probably done about 1000 miles ish) so shouldnt be that.
Pipe to the ECU which is it guys 'cause you to run big boost if broken' or 'run flat as a pancake if they split'??

Thanks!

The pipe to the ECU tells it what boost pressure is being put through the engine and gives you ignition advance accordingly, if the pipe splits the ecu doesnt see the proper boost pressure if at all, so very flat running.
