picked up my new s2 last weekend , when i collected it i was told by the previous owner he had turned the boost down for better fuel econamy on the way down through scotland , the day after i got the car i noticed there was a slight little end rattle so whipped the engine out and fitted a spare i had . im now thinking he turned the boost down because he had blown it to fook ! problem i have now is what do i reset the boost to ? he has removed the amal valve altogether and fitted a bleed valve car is currently reading 0.4 bar with my spec engine what should i safely set it at and which way do you turn the screw ?
the engine spec is as follows - rebuilt 1.6 cvh piper 285t cam kit , hybrid t3 ,-31 , mongoose , k&n cone and ahmed bayjoo chipped ecu .
any ideas would be great guys thanks

 

Take it to a RR and get the operator to set it up! that's the only way you will know it's 'safe'

 

On the RR mate!! How do you know what the fuelling is set for??
Could be fuelling for 7psi could be fuelling for 70psi!!! lol
