My experience of coppers living in Norolkfshire is it depends a lot on AGE, even though you can drive a normal car sensibly you are far more likely to be stopped by plod, motorcyclists even more so in my experience.
Yes around here the courts are in the plods pocket, there are a few good ones, traffic cops tend to be the soundest around here, though some picky git stopped me and discovered after spedning 40 minutes going over my cossie that my rear number plate digits were 2mm TOO NARROW, then tried giving me a ticket, he was a traffic cop(bike) so I pointed out that he couldn't and the first time was a warning only, he got well pissed when I called his bluff telling me no I can ticket you, so I just kept saying go on then.
My dad had a bodykitted rover sd1(kat kit) was their original demo car and we got stopped often, the first thing said was "now then sonny where did you steal this from", as they crouched down to see a 65 year person driving, the copper beinmg around 20-30, it was then an appology and we were on our way.
They are absolutely biassed both towards the young around here at least and the yanks.

got pulled 3 times in one night once, first on the way to my mates house in my orion, then twice when we were in my mates rst (once by the very same copper) one copper was sound, checked out the owner, tax insurance etc, was asking about the car in general saying it looked clean and "was it fast" but generally sound. the other was a complete knob on a real power trip, checking engine components and things. he was shaking parts and trying to get them loose so he could have somethig to book jobsworth.

sorry to hear that thought mate, sound like you got a wanker.

I find the opposite, I was going round a little tiny cobbled roundabout in taunton town centre in my 3 door, as was REALLY sideways, like donutting type angles, more or less 90 degrees, and I got stopped for it, the copper started going on about how great cossies were and how he loved having them as a patrol car, said I seemed to know what I was doing with it and it was a lovely car, but keep it for the track and sent me on my way, Ive had similar a couple of times now, where as im sure in a beaten up volvo doing the same I would have been done for it.

here your all complaining about being pulled over. to be fair you all drive big powerfull cars and *being honest* you probably do break the law. try being an 18 year old driver!! i drive a 1.25 fiesta wich is marked as an lx. in the first week of driving it i got pulled over 4 times, without doing anything wrong! tbh the pigs need to get their priorities sorted, instead of strolling around looking for lads in cars who might break a speed limit, why dont they concentrate on finding people supplying guns or drugs? bit of a no brainer in my view

If I had the choice of a 8 hour shift cruising about in a turbo volvo or nice bmw telling people off for doing 3mph over the limit, or spending 8 hours getting shot at in some drug infested estate in peckham, id be pulling you over too

aye but i thought the point of the police was to prevent crime (yes i know speeding is a crime) but surely something should be done about the state of this country before they winge about speeding

Most are cunts but i did get caught doing dohnuts and fucking about in a big carpark in the snow once in my mk2 escort van. The 2 coppers drove in and i just drove over to them as soon as i see them. They just said we have been watching you for half hour and pointed to a camera. Then they just said looks like you have been having fun but you will have to call it a night now lads. Then we all drove off happily ever after lol

Coppers round here generally dont give a fook tbh been stopped once on over a years worth of driving 50,000 miles was for a dodgy bulb told me to sort it and on my way. i think because its a small area theres not many off them. See them pretty much every time id be out at night and no hassles tbh.

I can't even remember the amount of time i've even been pulled over in my 3 Door, but never had anything more than a producer.
I find if you always say your sorry and it wont happen again and you slip in that you love the police and you can understand what a hard job they have they usually reply with "well be on your way laddie and don't do it again"
If you jump out shouting that they are a blind cunt and why don't you catch some real criminals you usually get another responce.
Just my 2 Pence worth.

I got pulled over once in my S1, and it was because their was a spate of stolen cars in the area and mine being an older car they thought it could have been an easy target, plus the fact the road was terible and I was swerving about dodging pot holes! it was the traffic police and they were very nice, saying it was in great nick and was good to see it in that condition!

Think it all just depends on what your doing and who the cop is!

I'm in your neck of the woods too mate, but in 5 years of driving my Cossie like a hooligan, I've not once had a "7 day wonder". I used to get the odd one before I got it, but I suppose that's just the irony of it.

If he was on his own, and has no video evidence, you can't be charged with anything, because there's no evidence.

And, can we stop calling the police 'pigs' - it certainly doesn't help your case when you actually WANT their help. There are a few bad apples in the bunch, but don't tarnish them all with the same brush!

everytime i have got pulled i have got a producer. even though ive been in the back of the car listening to them on the radio saying "yes mr L has insurance on the named car under bla bla insurance company, he has no criminal record and has not been in trouble with the police before...
their usual excuse is "oh its just to be sure" like f**k it is just to be sure, you're just being a c**t (sorry but they just like the power!)

also... my old car (renault 5 gtt rep) i got stopped weekly... 90% of the time the coppers looked around the car. smelled under the bonnet (as it was burning oil n smelled funky) n looked at the tax disk. then let me on my way.

same happens for the capri but i usually get the "this is a nice car, you dont see many of these nowadays. Im like... why u pulling me just to look around my car? piss off i wanna get to work im skint!!!

ive been pulled 3 times in my S2

1st time was just a random pull at about 1am. sadi i was speeding but i knew i wasnt cause i saw them turn around and follow me and im not stupid to speed when there right behind. they asked if i had been drinking, then said would i do a breathzlizer i said yes and they never did do it. just checking i aint nicked it more than likely. tbh it didnt bother me and was quiet happy they check this shit. as i could of just took it off the driveway that night.

2nd time was for racing the police in an undercover car lol for about 2miles. i was racing a golf from the lights the golf went and this other car started to come up the otuside lane so i thought fuck you and booted away slowed down saw him coming up booted it again till i thought must be someone i know so big smile from me looking to the right and its a copper saying pull over. pulled me over said yes sir no sir cause you never win so no point being a cock over it. they said nice car and dont use the road as a race track see ya later. TIDY!

3rd time was they were watching cars comign out of a pub car park. they pulled me over just up the road. asked if i had been drinking i said yeh had 2 foster shandys and a meal. they said ok on ya way that was it. TIDY

i've never been pulled in S2 so i can't comment, If wot you are saying is true an appeal is deffo warranted as 11 points and £825 is a joke without any actual evidence!
