replaced head now oil mixed with water ? ??

Default replaced head now oil mixed with water ? ??

right ok doke,bought another rs with an engine knock, got it home,gt it started and relised it was the head,had spare head in my gargae so got on to replacin the faulty head,

took everything off put to tdc lined the head up,brand new head gasket and bolts, got every plugs n pipes back on, turned engine over by hand,all seemd ok dokey,

got it started was missing like fuck and not idling at all,while adjusting th dizzy cap i had the water cap off to let it self bleed,next thing i no the waters mixed with oil, mayo in oil cap, breathers all choked up also, took head back off but cldnt see anything wrong,got another brand new head gasket and wil rebuild again tomorow,

but any1 think of ther top of their head what it can be? ??
im kindoff puting it down to a bad gasket ?

im completly confused like

any help will be much apprecited

seconded should always get head skimmed before a rebuild

what was the oil like before you took the first head off? if it was mixed to begin with maybe something like rotten water channels in the block?

head wasnt skimed as i knew it was working perfect,oil/water was fine before head change,is there any daft thing i could of done wrong ?

above contradicts you innitial evaluation!!!!!!!!!
how did you ascertain it was perfect!!!!!!!!!-you said it was the head knocking!!!!!!!!!!!
unless you have proper facilities you cannot check only assume!

orite well i assumed and was right! it was the head as when i put on my spare working head it cleared,


anyway guys the cars running fine now,
