EFI mate all the way!
The air filter you choose to run will also make a difference to how noisy it ends up.
Used to love mine, I had an old lady with two shopping bags jump head first into a driveway when she heard it coming from behind her!

I thought that like 1 bar boost and no dumpvalve also would give chatter on MFI?

The RS500 touring cars never ran dump valves - I think their engines and boost are above what most people run.
D/V's are NOT a must-have on RST's. Christian's car runs without a d/v and is over 300bhp and doesn't have running issues or turbo problems.
(Hope I haven't jinxed you Chris
You will hear it with mfi, but not as much as with efi.

He didnt even mention a dump valve in his reply
Hmmm..my bad. Long nights at work, still tired & didn't read it properly
Missed the bit reference the air filter.
Dragster - don't run it without an air filter - it's too risky
I must have thought he meant ran without a d/v. That's the question most people ask - regarding the need for a d/v.
I think he's edited it to make me look silly

My s1 ran 17psi with standard air box and fluttered
My S2 with a pipercross cone and standard exhaust flutters
My old fiesta turbo had a T3 hybrid and a Grp A k&n and that sounded like i had a pigeon with a megaphone under the bonnet.
Efi for maximum chatter.

You wont much if any chatter on MFI because as soon as you let off the throttle the flap on the metering unit closes and muffles the noise.
For me, if you convert to efi just for the noise its a bit of a waste of time as mfi is good as long as you can put up with a dump valve.
If converting for power, then i suggest Go-tech. Prob cheaper then the whole malarky of swapping loom, ecu inlet manifold blah blah blah.
Just plug it all in, get it mapped, throw the metering unit down the toilet and your off.
Ask Jamie at Jamsport about it.
