If your unsure about heat ruining it use VHT paint for manifolds you can get it in silver or black

yeah not been too keen on the vht paint ive used in the past always comes out flat and lumpy,

sprayed 2 coats of silver on this morning, looks much better, mate said he will blow some laquer over it later on next week.

I'm building a standard class concours XR2 at the moment and that doesn't allow painting things that weren't factory painted so I spent a day with wire brushes in drills and hand held brillo pads.

its just a case of a quick wipe over with an abrasive pad occasionally to keep it looking good, unlike painted boxes which will need repainting, usually meaning removal from the engine bay.

standard 2k base and laquer does the job just fine, done about 3 boxes like this and all lasted really well. plus its cheaper than VHT

VHT limits your colour options really, unless of course black or silver is your thing, then your sorted lol
