Default Sierra crank pulley on ERST

I'm gonna be converting the cabby to weber sometime soon, I've got the 1800 cvh pully to go on with the 36-1 trigger ring on(that i'm having 31 teeth chopped off), but does it go straight on or do bits need machining off?
I've read somewhere that 4mm needs taking off it, but which side? Wanna try and keep the std alt. pulley and brackets if poss.

you need to use the sierra alternator pulley and bracket.

it needs as much machining off as possible so it clears the chassis.

Should be. Plenty of people use the trigger wheel on all sorts of different engines.

I tryed the whole sierra pulley thing.

Took it to a machinist and they got it down as much as they thought was safe, and when i tryed it on the car, it was missing the inner arch by about 3mm

Try and get a hole drilled in the block and use a cps on a fiesta rst flywheel.

Not worth the fucking about with the sierra shite

Weber uses 4 lugs though, not 36-1!!
I'm gonna see if I can mount the trigger ring on the 1.6 pulley sonewhere and fab a bracket to hold the cps rather than pissing about with old sierra bits

Yeah, would be a much better idea.

Also on weber stuff, do you need a phase sensor reading off the camshaft? Or is that for a certain ecu L8 P8 L6.....Etc???

The phase sensors in the dizzy on the cossie, so i'm looking at Jano Oddkidds phase disc set up that runs behind the cam pulley. I've no idea how its triggered though.
If I could find out what type of signal it is and how its triggered, I'd be able to fab something myself.

I'm supposed to be dong this on the cheap, but it's going tits up already

Davey.

OddKidd's setup works 100% on my engine and has never caused any problems. Every tuner i know who has looked at it has been well impressed and is used by many of them like.

and OddKidd creations

The phase setup cost me under £100 and saved me so much hassle and time.
