newbie help.. (performance)
Hey,
im getting a escort rst in a month or so and im wantin to get some serious power out of it.
ive been told to get a 2.1 zvh put in, but i have no idea how much this would cost and what sort of performance i can acheive from it..
ive also been told to stick with the 1.6 but apparently their not as reliable?
im wantin around 250-300bhp, obviously nothing is gona be 100% reliable at this power but can someone point me in the right direction and clear up the above things for me?
i have no idea about all this so ANY help will be appreciated
cheers

go full on zetec! and it gunna cost more than a saff cossie to do!....cus u gunna need brakes suspension and a shit load of other things to make the car handle that power!
JUST BUY A COSSIE!!

as said before, if you want that sort of power just buy a mildly tuned cossie.
250+bhp in my opinion is unuseable in a old FWD car, you just will not be able to get decent traction unless you shed loads of money on a proper 'box for starters.
If you do still want loads of power, go for the FULL zetec route. Mad man!

lol...the reason no one replying is cus if you cant afford 3.5k on insureance you wont be able to afford to build the powerful beast that you want!...fully blown zetec and fully tuned cvh's cost alot of dosh!...do a thread how much you spent on your rs!...and be prepared!.....in less than a year i spent 8k!..and that aint just on mods!..most of that maintance!
