Just brought my first S2 Turbo, its costing me over a tenner a day in petrol! Can anyone tell me if this is normal!?!

Mine was just as bad mate. £10 a day was almost the norm depending on what i was upto/how hard my foor was down.

no id be lucky to get 15-18 out of mine if i dont boot it much.
My mates is not much better and his is pretty much standard.

I get about 140 miles from £20 quid - and I thought that was pretty bad.

The cossy will do 60-65 miles on a tenner. 15-18 miles on a tenner must be running way too rich I'd guess.

Mine has just done 220miles on a tankful and I reckon theres another 20-30 miles in it yet.

Im happy with the economy.

All my rs turbo's have done around 70-75 to a tenner but all have have had spot on set-ups, here's my standard FRST tailpipe after a 280 mile drive back from ford fair, and this was running bang on:

Mines still got 3/4 of a tank of OPtimax in it since filling up on Nov 3rd 2006. Cars only been driven out of the garage at my mums place though

went to croft from south wales in mine in sept, did 260miles on a tankfull, the car is standard. Car started to cough and splutter as we drove through croft main entrance, still showing a quarter of a tank on the needle, forgot that the good old s2 can suffer from dodgy fuel senders/gague's

i've managed to squeeze 100 miles out of a tenner in my RS1800, Was total granny driving though Last week though barely managed 280 miles from a full tank (€44)

I get about 110 miles out of £95 worth of 102.

I get 70-75 miles on a tenner unleaded & 60-65 on a tenner optimax.

Cars standard apart from mongoose exhaust.
