Default efi blocks, mfi engine blocks whats the difference???

hi people, whats the difference between an efi and the mfi engine blocks?
are they inter-changable ie mfi head with efi block and vise versa?

just wondering as my bottom ends gone and a mate has a good efi rst block.

thanks for any info

hi, both the fiesta and escort engine blocks are the same assuming its from a rs turbo. Head are different though, the efi has ported cutouts for the injectors and the mfi does not.

they are interchangeable but the crank position sensor hole is not present on nearly every mfi block.
apart from that as far as i'm aware there identical.
also gives u the option to go efi at a later date if u fit the flywheel from the efi rst aswell

Efi block has a dedicated place for the knock sensor with an M8 bolt thread.
