Default S1 Clutch cable

Reet, my pedal sits right at the top, and my biting point has gradually worked its way to the top, to the point I doubt i'll have it any longer, so ive got a clutch cable in hope that its stretched and not the quadrant thats fucked its self.

Problem is, ive never changed one (Clutch cable), or looked at an escort quadrant so wondering if i'll be able to fit it myself or not (no jokes please )

Anything I need to do, or is it straight forward...help/tips please

usually when the pedal comes up like that and the biting point is high it means that the clutch itself is on its way out!
the cable is not that hard to change but getting it back on the quadrant can be a bit fiddly!! taking the drivers seat out will help you get up in there easier too!

contemplating taking the drivers seat out...breaking my back atm, new cable is in, old one didnt look stretched clutch release bearing needs done so might aswell do the clutch too...ah the joys!

One question, do you need to reset the clutch quadrant when fitting the new cable, or do I not need to touch it? if so, how do I reset it?

you have to push it all the way back to get the new cable on! after you've got the cable on just let the ratchet go and it will sit in the correct position, then when you press the clutch pedal it will adjust itself!!

not really any way the pedal can sit high, its got a stop on it

The adjuster only pulls the freeplay on the cable through, which happens pretty much everytime you lift off the pedal, because it disengages the pawl from the quadrant.
