Default new problem.........dead s1.....PROBLEM NOW SOLVED

ok after my chronic misfire , blowing hoses, overboosting and generally being a 20odd year old ford

i spent the day sorting loads of odd problems out

head gasket had shit itself

numerous hoses had perished

pipe to actuator had a small split in it

then i went to burtons and bought what the guy said was the right plugs for a chipped rs turbo (somebody tell me what they are running)
which i put in and the amplified the original misfire........crap

then i put a set of magnecors on it and it finally settled down...or so i thought lol

it ran well all afternoon................and then as i came round a bend, everything went off, lights, wipers, engine died, clock in the roof, everything....so i rolled to a halt, turned it off and the ignition lights all stayed on ?????? it cranks over but will not fire.......and i have had to disconnect the battery to turn the ignition lights ?? is this a common fault or have i got to trace through the whole loom ????

somebody help me, as this rs turbo lark is starting to piss me off......starting to wish i had stuck with cossies

I have never heard of this problem before
could it be the fuse box?
