i had a srating issue with an escort rs turbo after refitting the turbo. the car has been stood for over two years. The engine which i thought was seized now turns over but it just wont start where should i start looking? When i initially started the car it idles fine and then when i gave it gas it just died. Any ideas anyone

 

was car left with fuel in tank/lines? have renewed things like oil,plugs,leads,etc.....?

 

Their was fuel in the car and ive put more in too, oil, plugs and leads were all done before car was parked up

 

i'd completely change the fuel, put fresh oil in and change the filter. two years is a long time for the to be sat, unleaded fuel starts going off after 60 days!

 

up for anyone else who can help. ive changed dizzy, leads, plugs it still does the same

 

is it sparking ?, does it smell of fuel., are the injectors actually squirting ?does it have an immobilisor ?

 

it sparks, no smell of fuel, no immobeliser. How do i check the injectors

 

take one out and crank it over, i put mine in a small coke bottle to stop it going everywhere......which it does
