my mates just got a d reg escort cab on a carb. he has got a full s2 whitch iam going to swap all thebits over to the cab can i keep the cab petrol tank as the 1 on the s2 is knackerd??

 

im pretty sure you can keep the tank mate.
obviously you will have to fit the fuel pump though
as the carb fed cvh's normally have a manual fuel pump.

 

as far as i know the tank will need changing

 

can any 1 shed some light on this got 2 replys with 2 different answers i know i will have to fit the fuel pump?

 

a carb tank is different to a injection tank i am sure they are

is there any way off telling by looking in side? i'ed compair both tanks but the s2 tanks been thrown!

 

maybe you do have to change the tank then, but why?
the fuel pump on an erst is external so why do you
have to change the tank, the fuel pump on a normal
carb fed cvh is on the engine(mechanical) so they are
both external pumps, surely the tanks would be the
same?
