Does this ever happen to any one?
What it is, is that when i do a quick gear change (normally only 3rd to 4th), when i put my foot down nothing seems to happen?I then have to either take it out of gear and put it back in or dip the clutch and rev it, one of these always sorts it out but it gets annoying. It doesnt happen all the time for some reason?!
Also last night i was going around a roundabout in second and hit the limiter by acident then some prat pulled out on me so i had to slam on, i then just accelerated in second and nothing at all would happen so i put it into 3rd revving inbetween and then it drove normally.
Any one else get this problem or know what the cause would be?
Thanks alot Selby.

Could be your air intake hose from the metering head to the turbo inlet. They can suck flat between fast high rev gear changes restricting air intake. Is it a standard hose or silicone?

Just give it a squeeze after you've been on a run as a quick check.
Try it cold and it should be hard-ish to squish, but once it's hot it wil lbe a lot more pliable and could quite easily be sucked closed/flat
I think if it was the hose it would do it in all gears but you never know. Runs same boost in very gear so why would it be different in 3rd/4th?

perhaps your bearing in your turbo has gone???
had the same problem a while back when the turbo would stall outright leaving me witha low compression sidedraught donkey!!!
turbo can also stall due to lack of oil pressure ,have it checked - thats why i now run a seperate oil pressure guage

How would i check the turbo?
I fitted a oil pressure gauge yesterday only had time get the water temp and boost working, so going to do the oil one in the week or weekend depending on how work goes.

simplest way would be to look at the impellor on the compressor at idle
if it does not spin , you may have an oil pressure problem or stuffed bearings....
feel for exessive movement on the shaft , but this can be difficult to guage
i can, but i am on about my third turbo already , and its taken a lot of time and effort
