Default Gear box oil

Whats the best gear box oil to use on a LSD gear box? Also where abouts do i fill it up??

filling hole is on the front of the box, is a small plug that you undo with an allen key.

i had to bodge together a load of hoses and a funnel to get oil in it lol

no idea about the oil though.

I asked the same thing the other week:

Fill plug is on the front of the box, 20mm diameter grub screw type thing (Allen key to undo).

There is no drain plug... Best to pull a driveshaft out and drain it that way. (Unless its already out of course)

Marc LJX, To drain the oil out the box you undo the selector shaft cap nut, remove the spring and lock pin and bobs your uncle fanny's your aunt!

Thats what i meant when i said to pull a drive shaft out

best oil to use is any synthetic 75w 90 thats what gearboxman recomended to me

Cheers lads.. shame the shop didnt have any in, they had 75w 90, but part synthetic not fully, would this be a problem?

Gl4 80w (but 80/90 is fine) is what ford say, and thats what i use.
