Ok my speedo has packed up was bouncing around a bit before it went and now nothing seem to remember a while back a thread about this and someone mentioned a gear in the speedo drive in the gearbox that shreads. Just really want some info before i start ripping loads of bis off that i dont need to.

I would start with the simple thing really. The cable.

second that, get the cable out at the gearbox end and give it a spin, see if it moves the dial.

Start with the cable,then check the plastic drive in the gearbox where the cable connects too.However if this plastic drive is worn it usually means you're diff bearings are f*cked!! Regards,Micky

Need to hope that its the cable then if the diff bearings are buggered i take it this means gearbox out Sick of taking that out

just cos the plastic drive has worn does not mean that your diff bearings have gone!!
ake the drive out and check if it has worn,if it has get a new one and see if it cures the problem! easier than stripping the box down!!
