Default beiges not good enough on efi will these do

my beiges are not supplying enough fuel and i have been offered a set of Ford Racing injectors, injector code (558) which should handle up to 300bhp i have been told they fit straight into the fuel rail by grove garage but would they run ok on my managment and would it need a remap straight away as i have sold my beiges and would need to drive it to get it to the garage to get it mapped if needed

they'll run but obviously on the current map they are going to make it run rich as they will be spraying more fuel for the same duty cycle.

that must be down to the impedence of the injector then.......

But TBH its only really an issue if its too low, and even then they work, but you risk damaging the ECU as its basically like putting a piece of wire across the terminals in the injector plugs (a dead short)

You should of NOT got that shonky ofab/ofac management

injectors are are a rip off it will do about 5 mpg at over 200 bhp and its around Ł600 to map and thats not perfect because its so hard to map properly

might of cost you less in the beginning but its sure gonna cost you more in the long run

It probably won't even start!!!

And who are you planning on getting to map it? If it's OFAC, you can't just remap it for any injetor you wish like with Cossie stuff.

Much better to use Mfi and a 5th injector if you want more than 230hp.

its ofab and i am not too keen on cosworth managment as that is getting old as well its just a cheap alternative for the mo plus i can get the mapping done at grove garage as i get on well with one of the workers there and where did you get Ł600 for a remap you must shop at harrods

at the end of the day i know efi aint the best mangement out there but it is all i can get for my budget as i have all the bits lying around from what i have collected over the years all

basically all i need to know is if the ford motorsport injectors will run on the ofab efi management on the same map as the beiges just till i get it booked in for a new remap cheers

mate i would keep the injectors you have got now, until you can book your car in at grove garage and let ahmed and mark install some of their own arbath injectors for you, as they are capable of upto 300bhp, plus they will map and road test it all for you for a reasonable price mate.

right i have been talking to mark and pudding at grove and the 558 injectors will work not a problem but he reckons the best route is to forget about the ecc managment and cosworth management and use lancia parts as aparently the idle and so on and so on will be better

probably wont idle

finally fitted my 500cc's today (old ones are std ERST Blues) and spent about an hour just getting it to idle!!!

had to drop my injector ms to about 1/3 from the blues and still have issues with bad idling , will try dropping fuel pressure tommorow and advancing idling to 15'

The Gotech i have fitted myself is a pleasure to use , pity your pricing!!!!
Also bought the injectors from Gotech , a steal at ZAR400.00 each vat included

What injectors do you recommend when aiming at over 300bhp? If my calculations are correct they should be about 680cc (x4)

But where can I find these high impedance injectors that fit straight on the Fiesta fuel rail?

I was looking on a website www.injector.com and they have 2 types of injectors for sale... the American type and the Japanese import type? Is the American type the same as they use in Europe?

So basically any Bosch style high impedance injector will work on the Fiesta EFI Manifold?

As I said on www.injector.com I saw two types of injector, the American style and the Japanese import. Is the American type the same as the Bosch type?
