Default Getting p*ssed about by ebayers!

Well.... I just need a bit of a rant!!!

The long and short of it is, I agreed to buy something off someone on ebay, 5 weeks ago!!!!, after excuse after excuse, I still have not got my goods!

He said he would deffinately send them this week, and as I was having the week off from work I asked him to send them to my home address instead of my work address as previously agreed.

Anyway, we are now at the end of the working week, I still havent got anything, and it's a nightmare for me to get to the post office in the working week as I work nowhere near it!

I think he's just feeding me bullshit and still hasnt sent them, and have told him unless he can prove to me he sent them on monday, I want my money back!

RANT OVER!

chek this then for ebay tastics.

my bro and his mate sell cheap genuine late spec laptops, just as the new ones arrive and the prices diminish,on ebay, now, there top spec items and go for 6 to 9 ton each depending on the spec, with a retail of nearly double that,

anyways he sells one to this geeza in london (they are in liverpool),and he pays by paypall, after the initial paypall checks are done the moneys in the account,a day later the account is checked again and alls well,so the item is sent to this address that the buyer gave, yep you guessed it ,next day the moneys dissapeared,so ,paypal are called and they say it wasnt there in the first place,well......,they find a number for the address the item was sent too,and it turns out to be a po box agent, the storys told to them ,and they say ,if you can prove you sent the item and all wot you have told us is true we will hold it till you arrive.
next they bomb down to london,go to the office and ask for the item, the po box peeps say,you need the police to sort it proper, so they go the bizzies and they say, give the office our number and get them to call us, this didnt wash with the po box guys,so back to the rozzers, and they tell c.i.d.,who then get a sting going, anyways they caught the geeza ,he was running a racket ,and was swiped and jailed, the laptop, well that was retained for evidence,,its now well out of date and not worth picking up. lifes a bummer when shitbags do this.

sorry its a bit lomg.

Exactly what i was thinking

Ebay is a getting to be a pain in the arse for this shit you end up either buying something from someone that never sends it but swears blind they did but when you ask to see the proof the go all quiet or you get some scamming cunt bidding on you auctions Thing is alot of these scammers know that 90% of people aint going to drive half way across the uk for the sake of a few hundred pounds so they know they can rip people off and not worry about someone coming to there house to get there money back it's getting just as bad on here and the rs owners club with scammers taking peoples money and not sending the stuff

Yes, its bloody annoying as I am very urgent for the parts.

Anyway, I payed by paypal so I may have some kind of come back, but in fairness, the guy hasnt just shut off contact with me (thats happened to me several times in the past!!! ), but is just kind of arsing me about.

I have told him, if I dont get them this week then I want my money back.

We shall wait and see what happens.

Lessons here guy's,-
Never send goods (unless you've done business with guy before)
until the money is in your BANK ACCOUNT/Paypal will take dough
from you at the drop of a hat.
Never leave any amount of money in your Paypal account EVER
as soon as it's there withdraw it to your bank account.
I had a chargeback for a transaction which took place 14 months earlier
courtesy of the banking laws in the States.
It's a very safe way of sending/receiving money but you do have to know
how to play the game.

As for Jimmy boy if you did pay with PP I'm fairly sure it's a 28 day limit
any vendor has to get goods to customer (and signed for) or the dough
is pulled straight back upon your complaint to Paypal.

And now that I've read the post correctly...........

Learn the lesson NEVER send cash if the vendor doesn't nick it the postman will.

kay2: Unfortunately, I dont think you have got a leg to stand on if the seller is ignoring all your communications. As has been said, NEVER send cash, always use a method where you can prove that a payment has been sent, it sucks I know!

All I could possibly say is, have you had correspondence with the guy (email etc...), where he admits that the fuel rail has not been sent? If you can prove in some way that the guy did not sent the complete item then you may have something to go on.

If you didnt buy it through ebay and you sent cash then there nothing you can do about it the only way to get your money back would be to go to the guys house and get it or get the fuel rail

You can only make a claim in ebay for an item dispute which will result in a black mark against the seller. 3 of these and he is booted out. No money is involved.

basically your screwed I'm afraid. Lesson learned though at least it wasnt a high value item! I was stung once when I started using ebay. I always pay by Paypal now to be covered for goods not turning up or not as described.

antony215 sorry man, missed that Sending cash to some randomer is just crazy

Series 1 Turbo, i recently had a dealing with someone and eBay customer services themselves gave me the link to claim through eBay because i paid by cheque.

It wasnt simply an unpaid item strike like you're talking about.

Well, I still havent received my goods, and he just keeps feeding me bullshit which is reallypissing me off.

I have started a claim with paypal now so will see how that goes as I have never done it before. Would be nice to get my money back + an inconvenience charge! lol, because has just been pissiing me about since day 1 and I could of got my parts from elsewhere if I knew he was going to be such an aRSe.

Would be nice if he has actually sent the parts and I get my money back! lol, will keep the parts and my money, see how he likes being pissed about!

True, but his feedback is 100%, I dont think I took a detailed look into all of the comments on his feedback beforehand, just seen the "100%", and assumed (wrongly) that he should be ok.

He's told me on 4 seperate occassions now that he has sent them, only to admit later that he hasnt.

Now I gotta wait for some kind of decision from paypal which is even MORE time wasted. I just wanna get the parts I need!!!!!!, turning out to be a fookin nightmare.

I just want what I paid for / refund

It's been 6 weeks since we first started discussion of the parts and about 4 weeks since payment. Took 2 weeks of slow negotation just to let him know what parts I wanted and what to pay for them, would take him 2-3 days to reply to any of my emails.

Suppose I should of seen warning lights then, but heinsight is a wonderful thing.

you'll get the money back off paypal, if he hasnt sent them he has no proff of postage so you're guaranteed that

have you escalated the dispute to a claim yet?
