as above what do i need get it from and how hard

i wouldnt bother m8 as you would need to blance the shaft on a specilist machine. The internals are pretty simple but IMO a turbo is not somthing you wanna fook wiv as it could have disasterous results to your engine if it fails

im just wanting tthe seals redone and how do i know if its a hybrid or not

Theres a lot of controversy over this, we all know the best turbos are balanced and the compressor/turbine wheels are machined to balance it.

In theory if you mark the compressor wheel so you can line it back up in the exact same place then it shouldn't need balancing.

Rebuilding one isnt the easiest job though, and its not always a case of buying a rebuild kit off ebay.......if its worn internally a standard kit won't solve your problem. Generally a turbo with play in the shaft will need something more than new bearings and seals

i see where you coming from but can you change the seals easily cause ive got a wee bit of oil in the pipes

As i say...........it may not be that simple, if other things are worn aswell seals won't cure it.

I bet the shaft has more play in it than the local park
