yes erst gearboxes only have a lsd if you put a 1.4 or 1.6 gearbox in though,it will wheelspin alot more,wount handel as good and you will have shorter ratos and can break

as said above any mk3 or 4 escort cvh box will fit also some mk5 boxes with the same mounting points as a s1 box will fit, with the s1 and mk5 boxes a few bolts need to be moved to mount it to the s2 cradle but its nothing major to do
