Default rebuilding the s2 box

im so sick ov gearboxes lasting 5 minutes that im guna try n rebuild my spare 1 as ive got nothin to lose!
cts drill out the casging to accept a bigger bearing n shim the mainshaft so the wear is on the shim not the shaft.....is this correct? im not even going to attempt to rebuild the lsd!
has any1 rebuilt a box themself? ive heard all i need is a special slim puller tool to get the bearings out?

Apart from the usual spanners/sockets you are going to need a 5th gear puller if its tight on the shaft. If you are going to remove the gears/synchros from the shafts then you will need a knife edge puller.

To get the main shaft bearing out you are going to need a pilot bearing puller.
