Default forged pistons

whats the best to go for and how much?? also on a standard 1.6 what size do I need to get because I see they have differences of 1.5 and 1mm in height.

How much do I get skimmed off to get the best compression which is?? and who does skimming?

thanks

The 1mm/1.5mm is usually the re-bore diameter!

good pistons will be unfinished crown so they can be machined to the correct CR. My cosworth racing pitons had 2.5mm machined off.

Or you could get a custom made piston that wouldn't need skimming or anything.
